Cooking on the fire

1. shijray - JEN

Shijray was the guide who joined Jennie and I on our week long horsetrek through Khangai Nuruu National Park in Mongolia in June 2004.

On the first night we camped next to a little stream. Shijray went off to a local ger to fix Jennie’s saddle and brought back a 20 year old friend. The boys made a fire and we cooked noodles for dinner. Shijray slept outside under his waterproof jacket on top of the horse blankets to keep them dry and him comfy. Jennie and I slept in the tent. Other times when it was really raining hard all three of us squished into the tent. We were usually so tired that sleep came quickly.
