The central Asian steppes of Mongolia, nestled between Russia and China, are home to rolling grasslands and nomadic herders.

Thoroughly reliant on livestock for their food, skins and transport, Mongolians also collect their animals’ dung for heating and cooking during the long, sub-arctic winter months.
